The SDERC offers a wide range of free services to assist you in finding your next job. Every successful job search starts with the proper tools and support. We have the staff to encourage you and the resources to help you find your next career placement. The South Delta ERC is open weekdays for all your job search needs, including case management, access to computers, daily newspapers, reference books and more. We also have detailed information on how to conduct yourself in an interview, how to create a winning resume and lots of positive reinforcement.

SKILLS LINK

Skills Link is an 20 week paid work experience program that combines classroom fundamentals with on the job training for youth (ages 15 to 30) who have had difficulties connecting with the workforce on a regular basis. Skills Links is the place where youth can develop skills, gain valuable work experience and create career opportunities for successful transition into the job market.

During the 20 weeks, program participants will be paid a salary of $8.00 per hour based on a minimum of 30 hours per week.

Located at 4907 Delta Street in Ladner BC

Eligibility

Unemployed youth between the ages of 15 and 30 years of age, who are not on Employment Insurance, have personal history which creates barriers to employment and are legally entitled to work in Canada are eligible for this program.

This program is client-centered and focuses on what is best suited for the specific employment needs and career goals of the participants.
