The Delta ESC is open weekdays for all your job search needs, including case management, training funds,  and access to computers, daily newspapers, resources for job and career research and reference books and more.

SKILLS LINK

Skills Link is an 20 week paid work experience program that combines classroom fundamentals with on the job training for youth (ages 15 to 30) who have had difficulties connecting with the workforce on a regular basis. Skills Links is the place where youth can develop skills, gain valuable work experience and create career opportunities for successful transition into the job market.

During the 20 weeks, program participants will be paid minimum wage, at 30 hours per week.

Located at 4907 Delta Street in Ladner BC

Skills Link provides assistance with:

  • Developing  Computer skills
  • Successful Job Search Skills
  • Improving Life Skills
  • Gaining valuable Work Experience

Eligibility

Unemployed youth between the ages of 15 and 30 years of age, who are not on Employment Insurance, have personal history which creates barriers to employment and are legally entitled to work in Canada are eligible for this program.

This program is client-centered and focuses on what is best suited for the specific employment needs and career goals of the participants.
