Job Options BC - North Delta
BGCCS and Progressive Intercultural Community Services (PICS) Society are please to announce the launch of a new BC Government funded initiative in the heart of North Delta. Phase 1 of this 10 week program offers qualified candidates 4 to 6 weeks of intensive job search training including short term certificate training (First Aid Level 1, Foodsafe, WHMIS, Forklift, Computer Basics, MS Office, Customer Service &/or Superhost). Program participants will be provided training assistance and supports.
Phase 2 of the program will provide participants with 4 to 6 weeks of work experience including wage subsidies, work placement and community volunteer. Particpants will be provided mentoring and other supports to facilitate their access into the labour market.

YOUTH-CAN!
The YOUTH-CAN! Program is a joint partnership between Boys and Girls Club Community Services of Delta/Richmond and OPTIONS Surrey Community Services Society.
YOUTH-CAN! is a support and training program for 15 to 25 year olds who are new to Canada. The program assists young people to develop the skills they need to succed in school, work and life.

Immigrant youth and young adults who...
- Have arrived in Canada within the last 5 years.
- Are between 15-25 years of age.
- Are not attending full time school or employment programs at the time of intake. (Students at risk of leaving the school system MAY be eligible. Please call to inquire.)
- Are permanent residents of Canada, or are allowed to remain in Canada, and to whom the Federal Government intends to grant permanent resident status.
- Are in need of extra support to obtain education, training and work opportunities.

To establish an integrated system that supports older immigrant youth and young adults towards successful settlement and integration.
